Frequently asked questions

Why visit a mattress store?

For some shoppers, online mattress shopping can feel overwhelming. Instead, they prefer the tight focus that a mattress store offers. There’s also the certainty that comes with not only knowing how a mattress looks but how it feels before you purchase it. Our Amerisleep stores have private nap suites precisely so customers can thoroughly test a bed out.

At a store, knowledgeable employees can answer your questions and offer recommendations. That’s why all of our Sleep Ambassadors undergo special training to improve their knowledge of sleep-related matters.

Many mattress stores also offer deals throughout the years to entice shoppers to step inside, such as free gifts and exclusive bundles.

Benefits of buying a mattress in a store?

Lying on a showroom model may not be the same thing as sleeping on a bed night after night, and your first impression of a mattress in a store may mislead. However, for many shoppers, it’s the ultimate peace of mind to feel a mattress before you buy, to look at it and have a set picture in your head of its qualities.

If you have an idea of what mattress may suit you, trying it out in a store can be the final push toward deciding if it’s right for you. Plus, when you’re shopping online, you have to do all the research on a mattress yourself. When you visit a mattress store, you can ask as many questions as you want about a mattress, and you may even think of few more only after you test the mattress.

The commonly cited drawback of mattress stores is that they don’t offer the low prices you find at an online retailer. However, our Amerisleep mattress stores feature the same low prices you would find online at our store locations. Occasionally we offer in-store only deals to make the trip worth your time.

Is there an Amerisleep mattress store near me?

There might be! We now have 12 retail stores scattered across the country—5 in Texas, 4 in Arizona, 1 in Oregon, and 2 in Colorado—for shoppers to visit and test our beds in person. Our mattresses are not available in other mattress showrooms (like Mattress Firms or furniture stores), so if you aren’t located near one of our Amerisleep stores, we suggest taking advantage of our 100-night sleep trial.

Every Amerisleep mattress comes with free shipping and a 100-night risk-free trial period, so you can get the showroom experience in the comfort of your home.

Where are Amerisleep mattresses made?

All of our Amerisleep mattresses are made right here in the United States and ship direct to your doorstep from our facility in California. We use eco-friendly, plant-based foams in our beds and our mattresses feature third-party certifications from organizations such as CertiPUR-US® and eco-INSTITUT.

Does Amerisleep make an adjustable bed?

We do! In fact, we offer two different adjustable bed frames: the entry-level Amerisleep Adjustable Bed and the more advanced Amerisleep Adjustable Bed+. Both bases are designed to pair with memory foam, hybrid, or even latex mattresses, and we also offer bundle discounts when you buy a mattress and base together.

Even more convenient? Each base easily works with existing bed frames, so if you want a sleep upgrade but don’t want to ditch your current set-up, you can have the best of both worlds.

Is there a warranty on Amerisleep mattresses?

Yes! All our mattresses come with a 20-year warranty covering sags as small as 1 inch. During the first 10 years of the warranty, we’ll repair or replace your mattress free of charge. During years 11 through 20, we’ll issue a replacement mattress at a 50 percent discount.

What types of mattresses are in an Amerisleep store?

At Amerisleep, we offer both memory foam and hybrid mattresses in various firmness options.

We currently sell five memory foam models: AS1, AS2, AS3, AS4, and AS5. The AS1 is our firmest option (recommended for stomach and back sleepers) and our AS5 is the softest (recommended for side and petite sleepers). The AS3, designed to perfectly balance cushion and support, is our best seller and comfortable for most sleep styles and body types.

We also offer two hybrid versions of our classic all-foam options: AS3 Hybrid and AS5 Hybrid. The AS3 Hybrid is a medium-feel mattress and the AS5 Hybrid a soft.

Our AS1 through AS5 memory foam and hybrid mattresses contain plant-based Bio-Pur®, a proprietary memory foam engineered to feel more breathable and responsive than standard foams. That way, every sleeper can experience the pain relief of cushioning foam and enhanced support from the layers below.

How much does an Amerisleep mattress cost?

We sell our luxury memory foam and hybrid mattresses direct to consumer so that we can offer our beds at the absolute best prices. Our foam models range in price from $600 to $2600 and our hybrids cost anywhere between $1000 to $3200 (prices including all sizes). Plus, we frequently offer mattress discounts so our customers can save even more on their new bed.

How long does an Amerisleep mattress last?

Our mattresses are designed to last up to two decades, which is why we offer 20-year warranty coverage. We’ve engineered our materials and structured our mattresses in a manner that prevents premature sagging and indentations. Of course, we strongly recommend using a waterproof mattress protector to shield your bed from bacteria, dirt, dust, spills, and stains.
